Well, does it?? Does the Bible really have ALL the answers?
Last week (in Does the Bible Really have ALL the Answers? Part 1), I basically came to two conclusions:
1. No, the Bible obviously doesn't have every answer for every specific problem in life.
2. Yes, the Bible does give us all the answers we need on how to live and how not to live, especially since Jesus gave us the most important commandments for life in Matthew 22:37-39.
Now we have reached another important point:
3. Yes, the Bible does give us all the answers we need because the Bible reveals God to us, and He has all the specific answers.
The Bible tells us an incredible amount about God. After all, the entire book is a beautiful, real-life story about Him. His Word tells us of His love (1 John 4:8, Romans 5:8), His justice (Isaiah 61:8, Job 34:12), His faithfulness (Deuteronomy 32:4, Psalm 36:5), His holiness (Psalm 22:3, Isaiah 57:15), His power (Mark 10:27, Psalm 93:1), and SO much more.
(After each aspect of God, I put just two verses to give a tiny example of what the Bible says about God, but there are many more verses than just those ones. Try doing and internet search for "Bible verses about God's love," and you'll see just how many there are.)
All right, the Bible reveals God to us. But does GOD have all the answers??
That is a huge question for another time, and it is also something every human must answers personally, from the depths of the heart. However, if you already believe that God has all the answers and you now clearly see that the Bible leads us to God, then clearly, the Bible leads us to all the answers we need in life.
As the psalmist wrote in Psalm 139:1-3, "O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways." God knows your troubles, your questions, and your heart. He wants you to let Him lead your life. So dive into His Word, and let Him.
If you do that, give yourself to Him and listen to Him through the Bible, then, just as Psalm 119:105 says, His Word will become a lamp for your feet and a light for your path.
